Because this was a special day , we actually sang the National anthem , which was led by special guest David Mitten .This was followed by a toast to Canada and to Rotary.

Table talk was after our special presentation for President Laureen .We discussed Friday the 13th at Port Dover , and bikers . Also we discussed the Burlington Ribfest , and Sunrises plan for Ribfest in 2021 , without Rita or Mark ... the politics of Rifest ...We missed seeing Fred at the meetings , especially now that this week will likely our last in person meeting for a while.
Don Daggett was a happy man ! Quin turned 22 on Tuesday . He is starting a Masters degree in January .
Dave Mitten is happy to be back for a visit !
Mike Jennings is happy the power point worked today . He has been busy with appendix surgery followed by kidney stones !! Ouch ! He is leaving for Florida next Thursday . He will be there till April .

Doug Cameron is happy to have his better half present , she has now retired from teaching , but occasionally fills in as a supply teacher .
Laureen informed the club that the board decided to skip the Christmas fundraiser this year due to COVID .
We will NOT be selling any cookies , cakes , or hams this year .
The chairs of all committees should chat with their members virtually , and spend all the allocated money for this Rotary year .
Seven Rotary masks have been delivered so far .
Stephan suggested we all send out an email to past purchasers of hams, cakes and cookies to inform them that we are passing on this years sales , but will sell our products for December 2021
Paul Wittmer announced that this month is Dave Thomas's birthday on the 27th of November .
Dave Thomas filled us in on Bingo business . The club received $ 2000.00 for last month Bingo proceeds . The Bingo gurus need images of the community services provided by our club , with the money we receive from the Bingo hall . Dean suggested that we make a list of the donations that we hand out from the Bingo proceeds , and forward the list to the Bingo hall . We should post this info on our website , and thank the Cambridge Bingo Centre formally .
The topic of the day was the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellowship to our exceptional President , for two years in a row , LAUREEN VAN GRONINGEN !!!

Laureen attended Mohawk College , and works in the family business , C & G Furniture , with two locations , Cambridge and Thornbury .

Laureen joined the club 4 years ago , in 2016 . She has contributed significantly ... with all activities , including Ribfest , the elevator project , and being president since 2019 , now in her second term ! Laureen was Rotarian of the year in 2018 . Mike presented the framed Paul Harris Fellow award to Laureen , built and assembled by Paul G.
The Sgt.‐At‐Arms (SAA) shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.
In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.
The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
