Laureen's Questions!

So why did you join Rotary - asks president Laureen.

Steve W. - Said that he had been at a Chamber of Commerce after hours business gathering and he met Joy O'Donnell

who a was a member of our club at that time - doing a membership drive . They talked and she invited him to attend

one of our meetings.

Steve liked the idea of Rotary - networking / fundraising for great causes and of course our members and joined in 2001.

His most memorable moment was the brown out that happened in Ontario / part of the USA during our golf tournament

at the Whistle Bear golf course - there was no cell reception. It was 4:11 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003

Doug Cameron also joined the same year and he had been asked by Isabel Tavares also a past member of our club now.

She was a patient of Doug's and she invited him to attend - He joined for the same reason as Steve - networking / fellowship

enjoys working hard at our different fund raiser's - his most memorable moment was his trip to the international Rotary conference

held in Lisbon , Portugal.
