TABLE TALK
I enjoyed the live company of Allan ,  Gerry ,  and Paul  .
We all were discussing the perils of travel these days , especially to the USA . Florida seems especially scary , with 27,000 new cases of COVID daily... Allan was in Atlanta a couple weeks ago visiting family. Masks were literally absent indoors , both in shops and restaurants . Shocking  with the delta variant so prevalent , and contagious  .
Gerry didn't expect  to received a Paul Harris award at the change over party two weeks ago . He was a very deserving recipient !
We were also all awoken last night by the active , loud ,  summer storm last night at 4:30 am.
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT
We had a total of 13 Rotarians present today , with 2 participating by Zoom  . (  Laureen and Dan )
Not bad for a hot summer day .
HAPPY-TOONIES
Don Daggett was happy his severance of one acre of his front yard has been approved !
Ken is happy his half marathon in Huntsville on Aug 29th has not been cancelled . He is looking forward to visiting his kids in BC in September .
