SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

We had 13 members on-line today (68%) - almost a complete computer screen.

 

HAPPY-TOONIES
Fred made an extra $ 1000.00 by selling his motorbike this season vs. last year . Snowmobiles are put away for the summer . Fred is enjoying his grandkids .
Stephan visited with old retired Rotarians in his neighbourhood .They said Hi to us all . One was Stan Jones .
Don Daggett is selling off an acre of land in front of his house , to cash in on the real estate frenzy .
Larry has some concerning news regarding the spread of his cancer .He is starting on new chemo meds , and a drug study .He is also heading to the cottage , before proper plumbing is established .
Sean had an update on Dave Mitten . Fred followed up with a phone conversation he had with Dave Mitten from Tuesday . Dave saw the car come at him directly , and he jumped . He hit the windshield , then hit his head , causing a possible blood clot on his brain . He was all scraped up , but had no broken bones . The sun was setting , and blinds the drivers heading down Guelph Avenue .
Mike is getting his second vaccination in Orlando this afternoon. 
Peter had his first vaccination at RONA . It was very organized .
Dave Thomas updated us on the ice situation at the cottage . Ice has disappeared much faster this year , vs last year .
 
 
 
  
 
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dave Thomas gave us an update on "Catch the Ace ". It is used by the Kitchener Rotary Club . There are $ 2000.00 worth of set up costs . We must sell alot of tickets for it to be worthwhile . Perhaps the other Cambridge clubs can chip in , or we team up with the Mississauga Club . Dave has more info . It could be started by June 1st .
Laureen has a Car rally meeting this week with Doug , Paul and Ken .

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS SCHEDULE

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms (SAA) shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.

In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
