TABLE TALK
Since I ate with the president, I have been bound by  executive privilege and cannot reveal the contents of our conversations. Except to say that Mike's  wife Sue, is once again, directing an Elmira Theatre production of The Ladies Foursome. Check out the Elmire Theatre Company for details as the show opens April 26th.
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

For attendance, we had 16 members present. This gave us attendance of about 60 %.

Guests include Anita Olney, visiting rotarian Tim Whitehead and Kathi Dick, and Michael Burnosie (spelling), guest of Sean's.

HAPPY-TOONIES
- Paul Witmer was happy about the ticket numbers called out today.

-Al Fox has become a grandfather once again

-Larry seemed to enjoy the on-line testing that was required to obtain a Food Safety Certificate for the Superhero Run for which A&W provides hot dogs. I, for one, am happy that Larry can cook a hot dog safely!

GUEST SPEAKER
Our speakers today were Larry and Anita Olney who recounted there trip to Antarctica this fall. They provided  a great slide show of their expedition.

Their excursion began in Santiago, Chile which boasts a population of 7 million (represents 40% of the population of Chile).

The crew included 24 on the expedition team who provided educational sessions and guided the group on excursions.

The ship crossed the Drake Strait (36 hours) to the tip of Antarctica.  A number of the highlights are listed below - but a picture says a thousand words:
- Many icebergs of various shapes and sizes.
- Excursions to the land by zodiac.
- Penguin rookeries and up close and personal penguin encounters.
- Visit to an Argentinian research station.
- A plunge in the ocean (not Larry or Anita).

On their return to Santiago, Larry and Anita were able to meet with an Rotarian who was here on a Group Study Exchange. This rotarian provided a personalized tour of Santiago.

Larry and Anita have now completed their mission of visiting all 7 continents.

This concluded our meeting and President Mike thanked Anita and Larry.
