OPENING CEREMONIES
With a new Rotary year , comes more personal confusion with the zoom set-up. I seemed to miss opening ceremonies again  , but I am sure they were excellent as always .

TABLE TALK
As last week , there was quite a bit of zoom chatter today but it will be summarized under happy toonies
 
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT
There were 8 members on Zoom today, no makeups and no Guest Speaker.
HAPPY-TOONIES
Peter was happy to get connected to the meeting today , just like myself .
Gerry's wife survived her second Covid vaccine , but got quite ill 2 weeks later , with Covid symptoms , but luckily no Covid !
Larry had a boating mishap , hit the side of his head on the dock , while gracefully exiting the watercraft .
Mike has a new daughter-in-law . His son was married in Victoria BC . They are returning home to Kitchener today .
 
 
 
 
 
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Stephan W will be checking to see when our weekly meetings may return to the country club .
 
There is NO LUNCH MEETING next Wednesday July 21st . Instead , we will have our BBQ at Laureen's that evening .
 
There are a few prizes left over from the car rally . Larry has some interest for next years Car Rally , from a woman from a local condo board .
 
There are a few payments still to be received from Car Rally sponsors .
 
Don't forget to be on time for the wind up BBQ Wed July 21st , at 2080 Beaverdale Road . Please bring your salads and desserts ! You can arrive at 5:00pm for cocktails . Dinner to follow.
 
 
 
 
Here is a summary of previous announcements.
 
Ribfest - August 7th. Rotary Sunrise is looking for volunteers and shifts will only be 2 hours.  It is a one day event and will run from 10am to 7pm. 
 
ToastMasters/Rotary Open house Meeting is scheduled for July 22 @7:15pm by zoom. Pres Laureen will be sending a link about the meeting, you will need to purchase a ticket but it is free. We will need a representative to speak about Rotary for 5-7 minutes and a toastmaster coach will advise on how you did (nicely :-).
 
Cluster Meeting (consisting of all 3 Rotary Clubs) - September 9th hopefully at the Galt Country Club, if we are unable to meet at the Club it will be on Zoom. We needed 2 members to sit on a planning committee, Sean and Pres. Laureen will represent our club. 
 
 Preston Hespeler golf tournament is scheduled for Oct 4th at Whistle Bear Golf Cub.

The Bingo hall has a new name and logo .

We are not yet needed to volunteer in person .

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS SCHEDULE

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms (SAA) shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.

In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
