ANNOUNCEMENTS

1) attended the President's meeting on Tuesday night. The District is encouraging all Members to register for the annual District Conference to be held in Milton on May 11. Discounted tickets on sale until late April - so time to buy yours at a reduced price still available.

 

2) circulated a draft bingo article. Please provide me comments on this draft. Need to submit for the May District Newsletter by April 24. Please let me know what you think of this article.

 

3) our tree planting for Earth Day has become a garbage clean up at Dumfries Park. Please come to the park on Sunday at 2PM. We will be there for perhaps two hours. Please bring gloves and a garden rake, if you have such.

 

4) we are trying to work out the article for Cambridge Times and Cambridge Today. An article was proof read by Stephen W and then the article was submitted last week to Cambridge Times. We have not heard yet if they are willing to post on their website. Patiently waiting. Have also sent the same article to Cambridge Today and they have not responded yet, either. Will keep all posted. Hoping the articles come out and then draw more attention to the 50th Anniversary celebration. Shall see how this plays out.

 

5) We will have the International Student visit with us soon. Stay tuned.

 

6) Lunch next week is shifting to the Charter Room due to renovations in the normal room. So, keep walking next Wednesday to this other room.
