OPENING CEREMONIES
President Laureen brought this meeting of Cambridge North Rotary (CNR) to order on time.
Jody Moore started us with O'Canada with great gusto  as the rest of the members joined in great harmorious chorale.
 Ken Denholm read a very fine invocation.

TABLE TALK
As we sat waiting for our lunch - we ask Peter how his wife Barb was doing . He mentioned that Barb was home and
was as comfortable as she could be . She is coping as best as she can with her health and respiratory condition.
 
Fred since he retired is busy taking old t-shirts and turning them into rags for use in the garage - he is a good
man for the environment .
 
He also discussed seeing the movie which he also announced with a happy toonies said it was excellent.
Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in FORD v FERRARI, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal .
 
Chatted for few moments about the different marijuana plants etc and their health benefits .
 
 
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

Sgt at Arms Ken Denholm  reported that 17  members were present today, of 21 total, for77 % attendance. 

The only visiting guest was Rotarian Paul Cody from Preston Hespeler Club.

 

HAPPY-TOONIES
Fred was happy as I mentioned under table talk saw the movie Ford V Ferrari was excellent
especially being a Ford man himself.
 
Paul W - announced that the Jim Robinson was now an experienced member having volunteered the night

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sean announced that December 4 is the membership meeting. Please bring a friend to lunch that day! Laureen and Dr. Mike will be presenting about what Rotary is about.
 
Sean again reminded us that the Ham Cookies and Cake sales are doing very well - have already exceeded our 600 hams
can still sell up to 60 more . Same with the cakes and cookies.
 
Mike announced the upcoming Xmas Party .
 
Allan Fox announced the arrival of his 15th grandchild - Olivia .
 
Laureen asked if a few members could be available to help out at Langs on 12th Dec serving meals  5 - 8 pm.
 
Paul W announced that one of our member's had just celebrated a birthday Dave Thomas.
 
GUEST SPEAKER
 no guest speaker. 

Laureen had us play  a  game using 20 pieces of spaghetti / 1 long string and 1 marshmallow - take these items
and create the tallest standing structure .
It was all about  teamwork - and had a few good laughs as well .
This followed with a Ted talk video about how to create a team building method

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS SCHEDULE

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms (SAA) shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.


In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
